Improve Your Water, Improve Your Health

“If you haven’t got your health, you’ve got nothing”

BMB Water Filtration owner, Antony Casey, knows this from experience and is a self-confessed water (and health) super-fan. When he’s not running BMB or his construction company, you’ll find Antony working on a degree in Health Science, spending time with his family or making his own yoghurt from raw milk – more on that in our blog.

At BMB Water Filtration, we’re all about wellbeing and we’re on a mission to spread the word about the benefits of drinking filtered water so that everyone can enjoy good health. The water filters we sell and install are also installed in our own homes – so we know them inside out. And we back up everything we do with science, facts and accreditations (we like the detail).

Five Things You Should Know

We believe the BMB 1000 Pro Nano whole house water filter and the BMB Nova Pro under sink water filter are the best water filtration systems in the world. A bold claim, yes – but then Antony has spent hundreds of hours researching water quality in the UK, water purification methods and the different systems available.

Here’s what he found out:

  1. Drinking water in the UK often contains impurities, contaminants and bacteria (not convinced? Read the Drinking Water Inspectorate’s (DWI) report and check out the legal notices and prosecutions on water companies)
  2. Drinking bottled water is expensive, resource-intensive, the water can contain microplastics and all that plastic is just bad for the environment
  3. The healthiest drinking water from a tap should be purified by a filter and then re-mineralized so it becomes antioxidant, alkaline water
  4. The more levels and stages of water filtration, the more contaminants are removed
  5. Water filters have variable outputs and some need replacement filters more often, which can be costly in the long-run, depending on the capability of the filter.

Why Choose Us

We believe the BMB Nova Pro is the only water filter that has multiple stage filtration removing 99.99% of contaminants (up to 0.0001 of a micron) and has a high-quality, long filter-life and has a good output and remineralizes the water with Biocera to become alkaline water. And that’s why it’s the only product we sell. Choice is great, but why sell others that aren’t as good?

As straight-talking Yorkshire people, we’ll always give you an honest opinion about what would suit your needs best.

Antony’s Story

If someone had told me back in 2015 that five years later I’d be studying for an MSc in Health Science, living an organic healthier lifestyle and making my own yoghurt from raw milk, I’d have thought they were mad.

At that time, I was living the typical unhealthy life of many builders and busy working people. This involved grabbing processed food on the go, not noticing the ingredients or where the food came from, drinking too much alcohol and generally burning the candle at both ends. But a series of health incidents, both for me and my family, set us off on a journey of research and investigation that has changed our lives forever.

The turning point came when I was building a house for my mum and dad and we were spending a lot of time together on site. Dad just looked ill and we knew something wasn’t right. Our worst fears were confirmed when he was diagnosed with cancer and was given 3 months to live by his NHS doctor. We’d already seen Dad go through Thyroid cancer in 1998 when I was serving in the Marines. He recovered though, and we were determined he would this time too.

We walked out of that hospital appointment and decided we were going to take control and do our own research into cancer, disease and how to treat it. As part of this research my brother discovered Professor Dean Fennell who is a world-leading expert in mesothelioma (the lung cancer my dad had). Luckily, my brother had taken out private healthcare for my father, which paid for immunotherapy with the Prof  – and we did our bit by making sure Dad was as healthy as he could be by looking at lifestyle.

I found out that there was possible link between the success rate from cancer treatment when you have a healthier gut microbiome – this relies on nutrient-rich, diverse, natural foods that are free from chemicals. We changed everything then for the whole family. Dad didn’t have much appetite, so we gave him smoothies that Mum made from things like kale and spinach (as it is easier to get important nutrients from drinking than chewing), and we researched improving our drinking water.

We basically looked at what you consume every day and how it affects your body. When you think about it, our bodies between 60 to 75% water, so water has to be the number 1 thing you improve. I was shocked to find out about all the rubbish that is in our tap water after further research and reading the DWI report.

I looked at every type of water filter on the market and all their pros and cons (have a look at our blog to see my findings). Eventually, I selected the BMB Technology water filters for their multi-stage filtering, reverse osmosis system, good output, the long life of the filter and – crucially – the fact that they have a Biocera antioxidant, alkaline filter included.

I can honestly say that three years on from installing our water filters we have never felt better. I don’t get those peaks and dips in health that I used to get, I’m just steady, healthy and I feel sharp. I feel so switched on and alive it’s like I’m running on a Pentium Gold Processor and before I was an Amstrad. Most importantly though, four years on, Dad is still with us and still fighting.

So, if you’re thinking about making lifestyle changes, wondering whether you should go organic or get those health niggles looked at or buy that water filter, my advice to you is just do it. Find the money, find the space to fit it and find the time to change your life – your body and your family will thank you for it
